PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Achieved by means of matched male and female roller dies, by passing sheet or a strip of metal between rolls of the desired pattern, theoretically with no change in metal thickness.

They are available with surface roughness suitable for external architectural cladding, and for applications where clean ability and hygiene is important.

They are decorative and functional and particularly suitable for large areas, cladding example where visual optical distortions known as oil canning (refers to a moderate deformation or buckling of sheet material particularly common with flat sheets metals surface) are considerably reduced and undesirable.

Care should be taken to ensure that external applications the patterns runs from north to south to facilitate rain water runoff. Rainwater is beneficial to stainless steel.

Application – airport terminals, lift cages and shopping malls.

Advantages:

• The lower the thickness of the sheet the more beautiful and efficient
• Embossing increase the strength of material
• It makes the surface of the material scratch free
• Some embossing gives a tactile finish appearance.

Limitation:

During architectural application especially façades care should be taken to place metal so that the grain orientation doesn’t go against rain water otherwise the rate of dirt pile up will increase the rate of corrosion.
